Q: Is the pottery dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe? A: Yes. Liberty Pottery is created for your convenience so all pieces are safe in the dishwasher, microwave and oven. |

Q: Does the pottery glaze contain lead? A: No, there is no lead in the pottery glaze. |

Q: How is the hand-thrown pottery made? A: Becky makes all of the hand-thrown pottery on a potter’s wheel. She throws about 150 pots a day. The pottery dries and then is fired to 1800 degrees. The pottery is now at the bisque stage and is ready to paint. Each piece is hand-painted, glazed, and then fired again to 2200 degrees. The process takes about 5 days to complete. |

Q: Can I see the artists working on the pottery? A: Yes. You may visit the retail store in Roscoe Village 7-days a week and see the artists working. |

Q: Can I paint my own pottery? A: Yes. There is a “paint-your-own pottery” area in the retail store. We then fire it and ship the pottery to you. Groups are welcome! |

Q: Is Tuscan whiteware available? A: A line of molded Tuscan whiteware is made by Becky’s sister, Sharon, in her studio in Cambridge, Ohio. Each piece of the whiteware is also painted by hand and custom designed in the Roscoe Village Studio. |

Q: Are their other shops that make custom pottery? A: Liberty Pottery is one of the last small studios that custom makes and personalizes each piece of pottery. |

Q: What are some ideas for custom designed pottery? A: Please call for any special needs you might have. Some specialty pieces are: Mugs for all occasions and people - Mom, Dad, teacher, Grammy, Papa, etc.; Popcorn bowls; Buckeye fan pottery; Class reunion gifts, Corporate logos; Family Christmas platters, Pet bowls, Anniversary plates, crocks, pitchers, etc; Wedding plates; Complete dinnerware sets; Town logo pottery; The list goes on.
